Orientation Day 1 and II
Day Uno
I hate orientations. Even back in Uni, i really hate them . I hate ice breaking where they put you into small groups and later ask you to come up with a group name and a group cheer. Well back then when i was 17, it was pretty okay . But now, I had to go through the same disaster!which was having to think of a group name and come up with a creative cheer. The worst part is having to communicate with new people to produce ideas for the cheer. Everybody seems so shy , quiet and reserved. Im one of them too.
Well nevermind with that, I managed to make friends. Yeay. Most of them are pretty friendly. Which is good for me. And most of them speak english. Excellent for me too. Atleast they do not speak " ching chong ching chong" like most of them in MMU.
Well, the very vast difference that I observed in comparison with KDU and MMU is that KDU, they really treat you like an adult. Expect you to find your way and ask when you're lost. KDU puts you out there in the jungle. Unlike MMU, which actually spoon feed their students. MMU assist their students from kepala to kaki jari. Everything is provided for in MMU. Lunch break pun MMU provide. But KDU, lunch break, is on your own. Everything is basically done on your own but with facilitators guiding you.
Day Dos
2nd day went pretty fine because we've all warmed up with our group members. We were divided into different groups based on our course and i can say that my course, there are only 14 girls and the rest..are guys! But rest assured, the guys are....average la. Average looking i mean. Apart from that, my academic advisor is a Chef. And he is nice and very funny.
Today was pretty long. Tomorrow wil be longer and so will the rest of the week. My plans to head back to Melaka this Saturday had to be postponed because we, freshies have to attend a stupid field trip. FML. Sigh.
