Pastry chef wannabe
Looks like the holidays are giving me much more time to blog. I've alot of spare time doing nothing other than baking. I think i wont get sick of baking at all. It's something in me. It's something i was born to do.
Well let me recall back on how it all started. I think it was around 12 years back when i first saw a chocolate recipe in a newspaper. I read the recipe and thought that i could accomplish it without the help of my mom and with that accomplishment, i shall let my mom try my product.
I think it was chocolate ball cookies . I read the recipe, found the ingredients but some of the ingredients i could not find in the pantry hence i remember substituting milo for cocoa. Amazing brains i have ey? Why milo? because milo is made for half cocoa and lots of sugar and powdered milk. So yeah.
So i started baking that, and the end product was....like crap but i still made my mom eat them. To not bruise my ego, she tried and said not bad but later on threw the rest of my product. he he he.
Apart from that baking moments, i actually love acting as tho people is recording me. I remembered having mini pans and mini knives and everything. I used to take half of my grandma's vegetables and started chopping them, cooking them with water and forcing my granma to eat. HA HA HA. i was really evil back then, and now too. =D
So hence, i think the cooking thing is in me. Just that it took 4 years for my mom to realise that i actually am serious when i told her that i wanted to take up culinary back den in 2005. But i am not regretting my decision for having a business degree. It's actually an advantage. Apart from that, entering college in this era, it's a blessing because i managed to meet up with kids and friends that are now part of my life and will be part of my life . =DD
